While producing our pickle, canned food, and sauce products with the contributions of our internal and external stakeholders; complying with current environmental laws and relevant legal regulations, monitoring, eliminating or reducing environmental impacts caused by our activities, managing wastes generated as a result of our activities with approaches in accordance with relevant legal regulations, using eco-friendly packaging materials, and being open to public scrutiny on environmental issues constitute the main pillars of our environmental policy.
Waste Management Hazardous and non-hazardous wastes generated in the factory are collected in temporary storage areas. Then, according to the principle of sorting at the source, non-hazardous wastes are sent to authorized licensed recycling facilities for recycling, and hazardous wastes are sent to authorized licensed disposal companies for disposal.
Wastewater Management The treatment of all our wastewater, especially industrial wastewater originating from the process, is carried out in our biological treatment plant with a flow capacity of 3,000 m³/day, equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Within the framework of Water Pollution Control Regulations, parameters such as COD, TSS, and pH are periodically checked in our wastewater laboratory and regularly inspected through sampling by accredited environmental laboratories in line with our legal obligations.
Air Quality Management Gases from emission sources in our facility are kept under control before being released into the atmosphere, and emission measurements are carried out by authorized laboratories at regular intervals. Emission values do not exceed the limit values determined in the “Regulation on the Control of Air Pollution Sourced from Industry.” We are reducing our carbon footprint and taking decisive steps for a cleaner and more sustainable environment by generating approximately 47% of the energy we use during our operations from our rooftop solar panels with an installed capacity of 2,050 kWp.
